Welcome to my quilting page. As many of you know I am an avid quilter when I'm not busy with my "day job" or the Labradors. I've been quilting for over 30 years and love the creativity of working with colors, designs and fabrics. For a number of years I've been involved with the annual quilt raffle for LABMED. LABMED is a non-profit organization that raises money for medical expenses of rescued Labradors. For me this is a perfect way to combine giving back to the breed I love and with something I really enjoy doing - quilting.
The 2011 LABMED Quilt was designed by myself and constructed by the LABMED Quilters. We are a group of quilters from across the country (NH, NY, PA, WI, CO, ID, WA, & CA) that all worked on various blocks for this quilt. Collectively we all made the blocks which were then sent to me to sew the quilt together and then quilt it. The quilt has traveled to various shows across the country was raffled at the Labrador Retriever Club National Specialty on October 14, 2011. The group is busy constructing blocks for 2012. The theme is "Post Cards" from vacationing Labs across the country. It will be put together and ready for showing in spring 2012. Check back for updates.
